For the 5th year in succession Marick delivered the Magnox Ltd annual i4 awards event.
The i4 event celebrates innovation across the Magnox business and naturally, in line with the principles of i4, the event had to be innovative, inspiring and imaginative.
We produced a highly visual stage set, creating a wow factor for delegates by the use of intelligent lighting and audio visual techniques. We also produced an opening highlights video along with a series of short videos focussing on recently implemented ideas across the Magnox estate. The highlight of the day is a reproduction of the ‘Dragon’s Den’ TV programme where delegates compete to win the title much coveted prize of the EnergySolutions innovation award.
After 44 years of safe generation Oldbury Power Station, the world’s oldest operating nuclear power station - ceased generation at 11am on 29 February 2012.
To help commemorate this fantastic achievement Marick worked with Magnox Ltd, the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority and EnergySolutions to produce a video on ‘Decommissioning a nuclear power station’. The video takes a look at the history of Magnox nuclear power stations, what happens during the various stages of decommissioning and what will happen in the future when the power stations have been decommissioned.

Marick Communications today celebrates the achievement of 5 years in business.
Speaking about the milestone achievement Janine Claber, Managing Director said: “the past five years have been an amazing time for everyone at Marick. We have had the pleasure of working with amazing clients and had the opportunity to work on some really interesting and challenging projects. Since I formed the company on 14 February 2007 we’ve grown and evolved, and through our continuing partnership with our sister company Marick Live Ltd, and our elite team of partners, we continue to look forwards to many more successful years to come”.
Marick successfully delivered a nuclear decommissioning supply chain event for around 450 delegates on behalf of the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority.
The first national event for the nuclear decommissioning sector, held at the end of November 2011, was a huge achievement and received extremely positive feedback from our client and industry representatives.
