Marick helps Berkeley Nuclear Power Station to celebrate Safestore milestone
On Thursday 16th December Berkeley Nuclear Power Station closed its doors for the final time for a period of ‘Safestore’ lasting 64 years and Marick were on hand to help our client, Magnox South Ltd, to celebrate this momentous occasion in style with a variety of event production services.
A VIP event, involving around 85 stakeholders, was held to mark the official closing of the doors. Local media were also in attendance to witness the closure ceremony during which time capsules made by the local primary schools were placed inside the reactor.
Immediately following the official closure ceremony Marick also staged an event at the local sports centre for all site staff, the highlight of which was a commemorative video charting the life and times of Berkeley involving current and retired employees.
