Magnox i4 Awards Event 2010/11
The Magnox North Ltd and Magnox South Ltd i4 campaign – meaning Inspiration, Imagination, Innovation and Implementation - was devised to change the mindset of the Magnox workforce, embedding a culture of innovation and driving forward better and more efficient ways of doing things from the most simple office based task through to highly complex technical challenges on nuclear reactors. As well as an on-going i4 campaign there is an annual competition and gala awards conference and dinner event which Marick is commissioned to manage and produce.
The i4 campaign continues to exceed expectations on a number of levels, from high numbers of employees participating and overwhelmingly positive feedback from staff and in particular those that attend the gala event. During the 2010/11 i4 campaign over 500 ideas were submitted, with 200 already being implemented. The i4 initiative has, once again, been instrumental in delivering more than £50m worth of added value to the NDA and to the UK taxpayer.
The success of i4 has also been recognised by two independent public relations schemes in the UK. Marick and Magnox won gold in the 'Best Event' category in the Chartered Institute of Public Relations PRide Awards NW 2010 for the i4 event. The CIPR PRide Awards is the only awards scheme which showcases the best PR work being carried out across the UK and sets industry standards. Both companies were also successful in the 'Fresh Awards' 2010 where we were shortlisted as a finalist in the 'Internal Communications' category. The Fresh Awards Celebrate the best creativity in Media, Digital, Advertising & Design work being carried out across the UK regions.
“Magnox North can always depend upon Marick to complete their projects on time and to cost, safe in the knowledge that every member of the team is doing their best to beat our expectations. When you work closely with an agency for such a long time, there is always the danger that the creativity will start to run dry. There doesn’t appear to be any danger of that, as we enter the third year of our relationship with Marick you appear to be pulling at the reigns to try new ideas and push the boundaries.
To put it simply, Marick Make Magnox North look good and for that we are grateful.”
Dan Gould, Communications Manager, Magnox North
